“Our work brings rigorous contemporary art, market intelligence, and community rooted stewardship together, so artists can be seen with depth, context, and lasting power.
her story
Gallery founder and director Jessica Ann Peavy is an artist turned gallerist, curator, and founder whose work is rooted in a sustained attention to how images carry memory, power, and cultural meaning. She holds a BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. Her early life as an artist continues to shape her eye, but her central contribution now lies in building a rigorous curatorial and commercial platform for practices that are formally compelling and conceptually precise. Based in Harlem, her work is deeply informed by the neighborhood’s cultural legacy and its ongoing intellectual and cultural production. She is drawn to artists who make the familiar strange and the intimate monumental, whose practices move across figuration, abstraction, material culture, spirituality, architecture, and identity with emotional intelligence and intellectual force.
Through GPG and GG & POP Institute, Peavy has developed a distinctly contemporary model that joins scholarship, market fluency, and community grounded care. Her program reflects a clear sensibility: work that is sensuous without surrendering complexity, politically aware without didacticism, and visually immediate while rewarding sustained looking. Across both platforms, she champions artists whose practices hold tension beautifully, between tenderness and structure, personal narrative and collective history, surface and depth..
