GPG at SCOPE Art Show 2025.
In this exhibition, three artists converge to explore the possibilities of presence, memory and transformation. Guy Stanley Philoche transforms personal remembrance into collective reckoning, layering vibrant pigments and textured surfaces to honour figures, past and present, who have too often been overlooked. His juxtaposition of nostalgic imagery with bold, urban surfaces invites viewers to engage with questions of visibility, legacy, and the power of acknowledgment. Augusto Fanjul investigates the intersection of figure and space, drawing from his Dominican heritage, he maps the body in its social terrain, interrogating lineage, migration, colonialism and the built environment as they converge in figural forms and spatial awareness. Eddy Ochieng renders hyper-real portraits that capture the layered emotional lives of the everyday, rooted in Kenyan observation yet universal in impact. Together, their works invite viewers into a visual dialogue about place, belonging and the impulse to shape new narratives.
